Weststrate met MagGrow Het MagGrow gewasspuitsysteem bestaat uit een drietal verschillende, elkaar versterkende magneten, welke respectievelijk op de spuit en de spuitarmen gemonteerd worden. Het heeft geen bewegende delen en is gemakkelijk te installeren en te onderhouden. Alle onderdelen zijn getest tot een druk van 10 bar. Het systeem heeft geen stroomvoorziening nodig. Het aantal benodigde onderdelen is afhankelijk van de lengte van de spuitboom. Voor een 40 meter spuitboom zijn 8 magneet­behuizingen, 80 spuitboombehuizingen en 1 spuitdop adapter per spuitdop nodig. De samenwerking met de Universiteit Wageningen heeft geresulteerd in opname in de TCT lijst voor emissiebeperkende maatregelen per 1 juli 2017. Bij een combinatie van het MagGrow magnetische spuitsysteem bij 3 bar druk en met 75 procent driftreducerende doppen, geldt de combinatie als beperkende maatregel voor 90 procent driftreductie. Bij een 95 procent driftreducerende dop is dat 97,5 procent. Het MagGrow gewasspuitsysteem biedt de mogelijkheid om een druppelgrootte van 100­150 μm, te combineren met een meer dan 80 procent driftreductie. Het systeem kan gemonteerd worden op zowel bestaande als nieuwe veldspuiten of gebruikt worden in de kas met behulp van rugzakspuiten. De grote voordelen van deze technologie zijn een verhoogde winstgevendheid, productiviteit en de verbeterde prestaties ten opzichte van het milieu. During a trial lifting, the grower can take a photograph of the lifted potatoes in the field with his smartphone. The Solgrader application analyses and then automatically calculates the sizes of the tubers, as well as the expected yield of the field in its current growing stage.
